The Barn is above a beautiful, handbuilt oak framed annex nestled in the hillside with stunning, uninterrupted views of the Ettrick Valley.
The Living Area
As you enter from the external, private staircase you are welcomed into the open plan, communal area with a fully fitted kitchen and separate dining area for four people.
Sleeping
There are two bedrooms, one with a king-size bed, the other is fitted with twin beds.
There is plenty of space in each room for a travel cot should that be a requirement.
The Barn is situated within a three acre paddock with a wee burn at the bottom of the field so there is lots of space for the little ones (and not so little ones!) to run about.
Accessing the Barn
Please note that the access to the Barn is via a staircase with a handrail, there is no other access so please be aware of this when booking.
Bathing
A comfy, fully fitted bathroom with P shape shower over bath, toilet and basin.
All of our guests arrive to a freshly prepared welcome pack with the essentials to get your stay underway, this includes a homemade cake, bread, butter, milk, tea and coffee.
There is an enclosed, private outdoor area for guests to use with a bench table as well as a gas fired BBQ for your use.
The accommodation offers toys, games and books for children should you want to pack a little lighter.
There is off-road parking for a maximum of two guest vehicles.
Because the Barn is adjacent to our home please be aware that we share our home with our two cats, Labrador and two pygmy goats. We also have a small flock of chickens which supply us and our guests with fresh eggs.
We are generally on site to welcome you on arrival and if you need further help during your stay we are always contactable.
We are dog friendly by request, we can accommodate 2 small/medium dogs or 1 large dog. We offer dog towels and a welcome pack for your dog too. A cleaning charge of £5 per dog per night is made and payable on arrival.
