Amenities
Cooking
The kitchen is well stocked with all of the basic utensils and cookware you would want. These include pans, dishes, mixing bowls, wooden spoons, knives etc as well as a toaster, microwave, electric oven and gas hob, fridge with small freezer upper. More freezer space is available upon request, please let us know and we will make sure it’s ready for use.
Washing
The kitchen is supplied with a dishwasher to make your stay even more relaxing and should you need to do any washing of dirty clothes the washing machine and tumble dryer are just below the barn in the car port with washing tablets and a basket. A cloths airer can be found in the wardrobe of the main bedroom or you are welcome to use the outside cloths line.
Sleeping
All linen, duvets and pillows are included in the price of your stay as well as bath towels and hand towels.
Relaxing
The lounge area has two leather two-seater sofas and various side tables. There are cushions so you can attain maximum comfort as well as blankets and throws. A TV and DVD player is supplied with a selection of films, a stereo with an array of CD’s as well as various toys, games and activities for children and adults to enjoy.
Dining
The cupboards in the Barn are filled with crockery, cups, cutlery and an array of glassware. A picnic basket is also available for use in the barn.
Parking
At the front of the property there is space for up to two guest cars. This is included in the price and access to the property is only feet away from where you park so unpacking is quick and easy.
Storage
Although there is ample storage in the bedrooms for your belongings, there is limited storage for bigger equipment like bicycles, prams, canoes, kayaks etc. We are able to offer unsecured shelter below the Barn in the car port to keep them out of sight and out of the weather (or can be locked in our garage at your request).
Exerting
The Ettrick and Yarrow Valley’s offer some of the finest Borders’ scenery with a vast array of activities to enjoy from walking, cycling, canoeing, running, site-seeing and good old touristing. We offer a lot of information within the property upon your arrival though we are also happy to offer some local knowledge is there is something specific you’re interested in doing, all you have to do is ask!
